An ideal sporting activity for youngsters to take up, and with the excellent tuition courses, they will soon develop their interests in tennis further. Not only will they learn and practice their newly learnt tennis techniques but the tennis centre at La Manga Club also organises junior competitions and small tournaments.
All courses run from Monday to Friday and offer an extensive group coaching programme that covers all major techniques of the game, with an emphasis on competitive fun. This way, juniors can learn and practise with players of similar age and ability, coached by our experienced pros.
The coaching programmes at La Manga Club have been carefully designed and made suitable to the needs of the children, taking the age group into consideration. With an age range from below 9 year olds up to 19 year olds, the junior academy is a favourite activity whilst staying at the La Manga Club resort in Spain. With courses becoming fully booked in the high season, it is recommended to book your tennis holiday through us in advance. Tournaments and fun competitions are held throughout the year for the different age categories to encourage young children to experience such a fun sport.
At La Manga Club, the tennis academy provides tuition programmes of three different levels dependant on age. The age categories are 10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-19 years of age. For children under 9, the academy offers advanced tuition that runs for one hour each morning and one hour in each afternoon. The academy courses enable each child to develop and harness their skills at their own progression pace. The programmes especially the under 9s focuses on developing the essential tennis skills needed to become successful. The children will also without a doubt be having an unforgettable time.
Tennis academy times for the 10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-19 years is usually 11:00am – 01:00pm throughout the year. The Under 9 advanced programme runs for one hour session each morning, 10:00 – 11:00 plus an additional hour each afternoon from 17:00 - 18:00.
For the advanced tennis players who are keen to further their existing tennis skills, the tennis centre provides an 19 and under Pro Academy courses. The courses run for either 15 or 25 hours that involve intensive coaching throughout the week.
